El sábado 25 de mayo Hisako dará una actuación por la tarde en Hoyocasero.

LA MAESTRA
Hisako Horikawa (Niigata, Japón) es bailarina y coreógrafa cofundadora del Body Weather Laboratory de Tokio con el coreógrafo japonés Min Tanaka. Ha bailado con la compañía Maijuku de Tanaka y en solitario. Actualmente se dedica a la realización de sus solos, talleres y colaboraciones con artistas del mundo entero. En los últimos años ha trabajado en España con Andrés Corchero, ha participado en el festival de danza En Pé de Pedra en Galicia y también ha realizado talleres y actuaciones el teatro Pradillo, en Estudio 3 y en el CSA La Tabacalera de Lavapiés en Madrid. En su ciudad, Niigata, promociona los festivales de danza tradicionales Bon Odori y participa activamente como codirectora e intérprete en el festival de arte The Water and Land - Niigata Art Festival.

THE MASTER

Hisako Horikawa (Niigata, Japan) has been enquiring into the body and dance with Min Tanaka since 1978. She was the co-founder of the Body Weather Laboratory, and until 1998 she was working and dancing with her troupe Maijuku. In 1998, she began to work on her own and went back to Niigata. Today, she mainly does solos and works with a variety of artists and musicians in different countries, as well as supporting in her city the traditional Bon Odori festivals and participating as artistic co-director at The Water and Land - Niigata Art Festival. In Spain, she worked with Andrés Corchero, she performed in En Pé de Pedra dance festival in Galicia and she has given workshops and performed in Teatro Pradillo, in Estudio 3 and in CSA La Tabacalera de Lavapiés in Madrid.

SCHEDULE

Dance space in Madrid: 10.00 - 17.00 (with a break for lunch).

Undetermined working time in the nature at Sierra de Gredos.

Body Weather workshops with Hisako Horikawa in Madrid

Body Weather worskshop

A work about body sensation, inner and outer space of the body, skin and bone, perception and particles, words and movement. We will invite the environment to the body, stepping into the body.

The parts of the body start to move by themselves, then we organize them to dance.

Body Weather manipulations

Relaxation and stretch work in pairs, exchanging the energy with the other through the breath. How to listen the body condition, how to touch  and receive.

You do not move the body by yourself, your partner moves your body,

and you accept the your partner's hands.

Loss of strength makes spaces in the body. You will discover new spaces in the body.

This is body communication.
